Sowing & Growing

Give her about 20 cm — she likes to stay tight, but she still wants room to flaunt what she’s got. Thin her early and she’ll only come back firmer, fuller, and far more tempting, responding eagerly to every bit of attention you give her.

Keep her soil teasingly moist — never heavy — just enough to keep her fresh, crisp, and ready. She thrives in cooler weather with a touch of shade, holding her shape while slowly filling out. Harvesting
Take her when she’s tight, tender, and just the right size — around 15–20 cm of crisp, juicy perfection. Pick her outer leaves for a slow, teasing nibble, or cut her low when you want more.
