Beetroot 'Boltardy'
A voluptuous, deep-red diva of the garden — tight, sweet, utterly irresistible and iconic in every way. Her curves push through the soil, swelling with promise, begging to be touched, teased, and tasted. Every inch of her distinct body hides a sultry, juicy interior that will leave your senses gasping and your salads trembling with delight.
Sowing & Growing
Plant her outdoors from April to July, spacing her 10 cm apart in rows so she has room to stretch, twist, and flaunt every luscious part of her. Give her rich, well-draining soil and a sunny spot so she can swell luxuriously toward the warmth. Thin seedlings gently — she loves the attention and will respond by plumping, and teasing you with her sweet, juicy form.
Care & Conditions
Keep her soil teasingly moist, coaxing her into lush, seductive growth. She loves a little pampering and responds eagerly to your hands, swelling fuller, deeper, and more generous with every gentle touch. Mulch her to hold in her moisture and protect her from intruders; she’s bold, resilient, and absolutely insatiable.
Harvesting
Claim her when roots reach 5–8 cm in diameter, lifting her gently to avoid bruising her delicate curves. She stores well in cool, dark conditions, keeping her sweet, sultry flesh ready for winter indulgence.
