Carrot ‘Autumn King’


A long, firm, deep-orange stud that burrows deep and grows strong, built to tease and thrill. Every inch is sweet, perfectly shaped, and impossible to resist. He only gets better with a little chill, the frost coaxing out his richest, most indulgent flavour.

Sowing & Growing
Plant outdoors from May to July in loose, inviting soil. Give plenty of space — thin seedlings to 10 cm apart — and let him stretch, swell, and show off. Keep him consistently moist; he loves steady, teasing attention, especially on dry days. Six hours of sun daily keeps him lively and ready to impress.

Conditions & Care
He thrives in cool conditions, enjoys a careful touch, and grows straight and proud when treated well. Avoid freshly manured soil — he doesn’t like distractions. Protect him from carrot fly, and keep the pH in the sweet spot of 6.0–6.8.

Harvesting
Claim him from September onwards, when he’s long, firm, and glossy with readiness. Store him cool and dark, and he’ll stay juicy, sweet, and ready for you to devour all winter. With minimal fuss, your Autumn King returns year after year — strong, loyal, and endlessly satisfying, leaving your garden begging for more.
